The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 are holding their Aug. 5 lows, but a move below those levels would be a bearish sign. Undercutting their 200-day lines would be even worse. Moving completely to the sidelines might be warranted if conditions worsen. And as always, we're keeping an eye out for signs of a new market uptrend.
